About Nolensville
Located in Williamson County, the city of Nolensville has a long history dating back to 1797. It has grown over the centuries into a small town where community meetings are still held on a regular basis and regular events include festivals and Veterans Day celebrations. It’s a historic town that has managed to hold on to that small-town feel, and it has a lot to offer people who choose to invest in Nolensville real estate.
History and Growth
Nolensville was founded when a wagon owned by William Nolen broke in this area in 1797. Traveling with his wife and five children, William Nolen stopped to take in the surroundings. Noting the rich soil and natural resources, he decided that it was a good place to build their home. The town was incorporated in 1839, and it was re-incorporated in 1996. Historic buildings that still exist in this area include the Waller Funeral Home built in 1876, the Nolensville Mill Company built in 1890, and the Home Place bed & Breakfast which was built in 1820.
The city has enjoyed regular growth since 1996, and there are currently several new Nolensville TN homes for sale. Area developments featuring more current Nolensville homes include Bent Creek, Burkitt Place, Ballenger Farms and Sunset Farms. This is in part because Nolensville offers a low cost of living along with a short commute to the bustling city of Nashville.
